Let's Talk About It — Group Discussion Worksheet Social Media Smarts Workshop | LearnU by DeKalb Public Services

This worksheet is designed for small group use during the cyberbullying and online behavior section of the workshop. Groups of 3 or more work through 4 discussion questions together, recording their answers as a group. At the end, each group shares one takeaway with the full room.

What students do:

  • Circle a face that matches how they felt seeing something negative online
  • Vote as a group on whether anyone experienced it
  • Check all the actions they'd take if a friend was cyberbullied
  • Rate two statements on an agree/disagree scale
  • Fill in the blank together on what they wish people would do differently
  • Rate their own likelihood of changing their social media habits

Time: 10 minutes for group work, plus 5 minutes for full-room share-back

Group size: 3–5 students per sheet

When to use it: After the Cyberbullying & Fake Accounts section, before moving into the SCROLL Check

We work locally, partner locally, and design our programs with DeKalb residents in mind. Every service, workshop, and initiative is shaped by real experiences and real barriers faced in our community.

As a nonprofit we exists to make systems easier to navigate and support easier to access — without the complexity.
